Terms of Service for MeetCounts

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MeetCounts mobile application ("App") operated by Achour Youness.
By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
- You must be 16 years or older to use MeetCounts.
- You must provide accurate registration information.
- One account per person (no multiple accounts).
2. Account Rules
2.1 Profile Accuracy
- Your profile information (name, nationality, date of birth) must be truthful.
- Your profile is locked after creation to maintain badge integrity.
- You can update your profile picture and public badges at any time.
2.2 Prohibited Conduct
You may NOT:
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others
- Use GPS spoofing or location manipulation tools
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Share illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit content
- Spam or send unsolicited commercial messages
- Attempt to hack or reverse-engineer the App
3. Meet Rules
- One meet per person per day - This rule is strictly enforced.
- Proximity requirement - BLE meets require both users to be within 100 meters.
- QR code meets - Must be in the same city (verified via geocoding).
- Meet integrity - Fake meets (via GPS spoofing) will result in account suspension.
4. Messaging Rules
- Chat feature is for users who have met in person.
- You may NOT send spam, advertisements, or abusive messages.
- We reserve the right to review reported messages.
- Users can block you if you violate these rules.
5. Badges and Achievements
- Badges are awarded automatically based on your meet history.
- Badge progress is calculated server-side and cannot be manually edited.
- We reserve the right to revoke badges earned through fraudulent means.
- Public badges - You can display up to 4 badges on your profile.
6. User Content
6.1 Your Responsibility
- You are responsible for all content you share (profile pictures, messages).
- You grant us a license to store and display your content as necessary for the App to function.
- You retain ownership of your content.
6.2 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is reported by other users.
7. Reporting and Blocking
7.1 Reporting
- You can report users who violate these Terms (Settings > Report User).
- Reports are reviewed by our team within 48 hours.
- False reports may result in account suspension.
7.2 Blocking
- You can block users to prevent them from messaging you.
- Blocking does NOT remove meet history (for badge integrity).
8. Account Termination
8.1 By You
- You can delete your account anytime (Settings > Delete Account).
- Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
- Meet history remains for other users' badge calculations.
8.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent behavior (fake meets, GPS spoofing)
- You harass other users
- You create multiple accounts
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 App Use
- MeetCounts is provided "as is" without warranties.
- We do NOT guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
- We are NOT responsible for:
- Loss of data due to technical issues
- Harm resulting from in-person meets (you meet at your own risk)
- Third-party service failures (Firebase, Google Maps)
9.2 In-Person Meets
- MeetCounts is a social app, NOT a safety guarantee.
- Always meet in public places.
- We are NOT responsible for user interactions outside the App.
- You assume all risk when meeting users in person.
10. Intellectual Property
- The MeetCounts name, logo, and design are owned by Achour Youness.
- You may NOT copy, modify, or distribute the App without permission.
- User-generated content (your meets, badges) remains your intellectual property.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified via:
- In-app notification
- Email
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco.
Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Morocco.
